Reverse: Long cross, with mullet of five points in alternate angles. Possibly from the mint of Berwick. A small piece of flan is missing. Diameter 14.5mm, Weight 0.49g.

A Scottish penny of David II (1329-1371), of the second issue small letters variety with four mullets of six points, the mint is unknown but most likely Edinburgh as Berwick was under English control at the time. The coin can be dated to c. AD 1351-57. Obverse: DA[VI]D DEI [GRACIA]; crowned bust left. Reverse: [RE]X SCOTTORVM; long cross dividing legends, a mullet in each quarter. Dimension: 17mm in diameter, 0.90g, clipped.
