A copper-alloy contemporary copy shilling of Queen Anne (AD 1702-1714). The coin is worn. The observe shows a draped bust facing left. Inscription reads: ANNA DEI GRATIA. Reverse is more worn, but there is evidence of crowned cruciform shields. Inscription: [MAG] BRFRA ET HIB REG 1711.

A copper alloy Post Medieval coin; probably a halfpenny of George II or George III, which has been polished smooth, then engraved to turn it into a love token, dating from about AD 1760 - 1800, inscribed with what is assumed to be a date: 176[-], though it could have been made later in commemoration.
The coin is the correct size for a halfpenny of George II or George III first issue, but there are no identifying details surviving. It has a lower mass than would be expected for an official coin, but this may be explained by the polishing which has removed all the design.
