A silver post medieval sixpence of William III (AD 1994-1702) dating to the period AD 1694 - 1702. Crowned cruciform shield reverse. Probable mint of London.
The coin is worn and appears to have once featured two sub-parallel straightened folds suggesting it may have been repurposed as a love token. Coins of William III were commonly converted into love tokens and this example has the characteristic S-shape.

Heavily worn Post Medieval copper alloy coin. A halfpenny of George II, young bust dating 1729-1739 AD. The obverse has the outline of a bust facing left with the legend largely illegible [GEORGIVS] II [REX]. The reverse has the faint outline of Britannia facing left; neither the legend nor the date survives. The coin has been rubbed smooth and is slightly bent suggesting it may have been used as a love token. The coin has a dark brown patina. (Spink no: 3717).
