An incomplete cast copper-alloy stirrup terminal of late Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon/Anglo-Scandinavian) date. The terminal has a hollow back that is semi-cylindrical in form and missing part of its attachment end due to old breaks. This contains traces of a white substance, probably used to solder the terminal to the now missing stirrup and is closed at the base. At the attachment end the front face of the terminal has a moulded collar formed from two narrow and projecting transverse ribs separated by a broader, bead-shaped rib. From the base of the object projects a flatten…
