An incomplete a cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, probably Harlow double-lugged type dating to the first century AD. The arms are hemi-cylindrical and enclose an iron spring held on an iron spindle with a chord held in a lug projecting from the centre. The mounting arrangment of the spring axis spindle is now concealed by rusted concretion. The bow is narrow and strongly arched, triangular in cross section and decorated with a ridge along the spine. The rest of the bow, the foot and the catchplate are missing.

Incomplete copper alloy English Medieval jetton with a clasp riveted to what would have been the obverse, showing a shield of Arms and a border of alternating dashes and rosettes. The other side, intended to be displayed, shoes a triple armed cross moline fleurry with one dash in each quadrant of the outer circle and alternating crescents and stars in the inner quadrants. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative brooch, dating to c.AD 75 - 175.  The wings and upper bow remain, the lower bow, pin and catchplate are missing. The circular wings are hollow, the wings are decorated with a central moulded ridge. The bow is D-shaped in section and tapers towards the lower bow, it is also decorated with a central ridge. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy brooch of the British Plate Type, dating to AD 150-300. It consists of a circular plate which has ten rounded knops protruding from the edge. The front face of the brooch has a circumferential ridge and two inner ridges on the main body which divides the plate into three concentric ring, the outer ring has traces of blue enamel. The rear of the brooch has a complete pierced lug and an opposite catch plate. The pin is missing. As Mackreth (2011, Vol. 2, p. 109, Pl. 106, no. 14742). Diameter: 25.2 mm Weight: 3.46 g

A medieval copper alloy brooch made from an English pictorial jetton of large diameter (26.1mm) dating to c. 1280-1300. Obverse: arms of England within a border of strokes and rosettes (cf. Mitchiner 168). Reverse: triple stranded cross fleury with a star or crescent in each angle and a border with a three pellet cluster in each segment (cf Mitchiner 169). The jetton has been fitted with a brooch attachment on the obverse side, riveted through the centre.

A copper alloy fragment of a Roman brooch, probably a Colchester derivative type, 52.6mm in length. The fragment comprises the foot, catchplate and portion of the bow. The catchplate is openwork with two triangular openings separated by an angular S-shaped bar. The bow is very narrow, with an oval cross section around 2.4mm wide by 3.4mm deep. Circa 1st century AD.

A fragment of an Early Medieval copper-alloy probable small long or cruciform brooch dating to circa AD 450-550. The extant element element consists of a broken, now rectangular, head plate and bow. The piece is plano-convex in section and the bow is C-shaped. The bow terminates in an ancient break. Emerging from the reverse of the headplate are the remnants of a central D-shaped lug. The piece is now very heavily worn and covered in a green patina.

A copper alloy brooch or dress hook made from a Medieval English Jetton, a large-sized example (diameter approx. 25mm) of a type often used for such Jetton brooches with the Arms of England on one side and a cross with crescents and stars in the angles on the other. The outer surface is well worn, attesting that the brooch was well used when lost. The clasp-like fitting is typical of these items which might indeed be more properly called clasps. Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch. On the reverse two hollow tubes holds the pin axis bar, a small gap between the two tubes would mount the pin which is now missing. Fragment of an early Roman copper alloy Headstud brooch. The upper half of the brooch survives. The head has rectangular grooved wings with a single integral lug on the reverse in the middle. Attached to this is a copper alloy spring with four coils to either side. The spring is held by an external chord and hook. The bow is rectangular in section, arched, and is decorated with a moulded ring with pellet in the centre, Below this is a vertical row of recessed rectangular cells. The brooch dates circa AD75-150.
