Possible finger ring fragment. A pressed concavo-convex metal strip, hollow on the reverse, which tapers from a torn broader end with six dimples perhaps intended to retain paste stones; these positions appear as tiny protruberant knobs on the reverse. A field resembling scales surrounds these features on the display face only. Object is torn at both ends and twisted. Suggested date: Modern, 1800-1900.

Fitting. Pressed flat metal strip with angled end bearing a rivet hole of diameter 2.8mm. The surface bears a stamped cross-hatched field, surrounding the legend: MORRIS COWLEY. The other end of strip is torn. A 20th-century automobile maker, Morris opened his works at Cowley, near Oxford, in 1912. Suggested date: Modern, 1912-1950.

Possible harness boss fragment. Pressed metal fitting, originally circular with a thicker border and thinner in the middle, but now torn. The finder notes five circular impressions resembling ring-and-dot (of diameter 2.8mm) on the display face of the object. However, one of these is surrounded by a wider circular impression (of diameter 22.8mm) on the display face; putative ring-and-dot are also visible on the reverse along with larger circular impressions surrounding them, so this reporter is inclined to regard their resemblance to Early Medieval decoration as fortuit…

Thimble with closely-spaced, probably machine-stamped, indentations, in concentric rings at top. A lower collared border is decorated by intersecting arcs of finely incised zig-zags, and bears hallmark parallel to basal collar. Flattened, and split between border and indented surface.
