A lead discoidal artefact, possibly a cast copy of a Roman nummus dating from AD 364 - 410. It is 14mm in diameter and 4mm thick. It weighs 5.29g. One face is flat and the other is slightly convex. Both are exceedingly worn.
If it is a copy of a Roman coin, it is possibly imitating a nummus of the House of Valentinian, dating from AD 364-375, Gloria Romanorum reverse type (Reece Period 19). There is a possible bust right on the obverse, the rounder face. The reverse possible shows the Emperor with standard dragging a captive right with the letters RO visible from the inscription …
