A medieval pilgrim badge manufactured from lead. The front of the badge depicts St Margaret of Antioch, also known as Margaret the Virgin, shown standing on a dragon with a cross in her left hand and a book in her right hand. This depiction relates to the story of Margaret, who was swallowed by the devil in the form of a dragon but saved when her cross caused the beast to vomit. The reverse bears the Christogram, ihs. The badge is slightly bent and damaged, and has a manufacturing fault- the pendant loop at the apex has not been formed properly, so this badge could not have been worn. …

A post medieval dress hook manufactured from cast copper alloy. The clasp has a rectangular attachment loop above a circular openwork plate with floral relief moulded decoration. Below the plate a decorative collar, also with moulded floral decoration, sits above the hook, which curves backards behind the plate. The object belongs to Read's Class E Type 3, dating from c. 1500-1600.

The object consists of an oval disc, worn and chipped at the edges, with vestiges of a design which is too worn to interpret. An attachment stud projects 6mm from the rear of the object. The seal has a stable surface patina of grey-white.

A cast copper alloy double loop or 'spectacle' buckle frame, of Early Post Medieval date (c. 1550 - 1650). The pin and buckle plate are missing. The buckle has moulded decoration in the form of floral motifs on the outer edges, knops on either end of the strap bar and a bevelled frame. The reverse is flat and undecorated. A similar buckle frame has been published as no 407 by Whitehead (2003) and has been dated to the Early Post Medieval period ( 1550 - 1650 AD).

The object is rectangular in cross section and has incised decoration on all faces. One one of the two larger faces, St. David is depicted playing a harp, though on the opposite face the figure is too worn to identify. There are three drilled rivet holes along the plate, one of which has a small copper alloy rivet still in situ, and there appears to be the remains of incised linear decoration on one surface, though this is very worn. Similar objects are recorded on this database as book fittings, e.g. HAMP-717970.
