A copper-alloy mount, probably dating from the Medieval period.
The mount consists of a flat-sectioned bar with an upward-tapering wedge at the centre and a stylised lis-shaped terminal at either end, each perforated by a single rivet hole.
Length: 69.5mm; width: 16.9mm;height: 17.5mm. Weight: 14.96g.
No close parallel could be found for this piece; however, stylistically similar mounts were commonly used in the 13th and 14th centuries, to suspend horse harness pendants (see Ashley 2002: fig. 13, no. 105).

A post-medieval copper-alloy mount.
The head of the mount is lozenge-shaped, with a convex upper surface and hollow underside. A moulded flower head design occupies the central area; this is surrounded by a plain rim, which, in turn, is surrounded by a pelleted perimeter border. Eight moulded lobes are equally spaced around the perimeter, with one on each of the four points. The remains of a square-cross-sectioned rivet extends straight backwards from near to the centre of the reverse. A white metal coating covers both the upper surface and the underside of the mount.

A medieval copper-alloy mount.
The mount takes the form of a forward-facing, crowned head, presumably that of a king. The facial features have been incised into the convex surface of the mount, creating a stylised appearance. The eyes are triangular and have incuse pellets for the pupils; the nose is moulded and of flattened appearance; the mouth takes the form of a horizontal groove, flanked by a pair of nasolobial folds. A horizontal groove separates the top of the head from the crown, the latter of which flares outwards at the sides and has been 'toothed', creating a central fle…

A gilt-copper-alloy mount of probable medieval date.
The head of the mount takes the form of a quatrefoil, with a saltire-shaped groove dividing the four arms, each of which has a convex upper surface and tapers towards its distal end, where there is a moulded lobe. An integrally cast rivet projects backwards from the centre of the hollow underside. This rivet is of rectangular cross section and has been bent towards the underside of the head, possibly deliberately. The upper surface retains much of its gilding, whereas the underside has not been coated.

A medieval copper-alloy bar mount.
The parallel-sided bar is of rectangular cross section and terminates in two rounded ends, each with a circular rivet hole and a projecting knop. Equally spaced along the upper surface of the bar are four transverse grooves with central breaks. The underside of the piece is slightly concave.
Length: 48.4mm; width: 7.4mm; thickness: 4mm. Weight: 5.27g.

A medieval copper-alloy sexfoil mount
The mount, which has been stamped from a piece of sheet, has a sub-conical central portion, at the apex of which is a rivet hole. Six grooves radiate outwards from this hole, dividing the surface into six equal-sized petals, each of which extends to a point.
Diameter: 19.3mm; height: 7.2mm. Weight: 1.33g.
Several similar mounts were found in excavations in London, the vast majority being from mid-14th to mid-15th century contexts (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 186-193).

An incomplete early-medieval to medieval copper-alloy zoomorphic mount.
The neck of the beast has straight, parallel sides and a D-shaped cross section. At its upper end is a broken loop; at the lower end, the wider, outward-facing animal head. An undated (Roman to post-medieval) copper-alloy mount.
The mount is of flat section and has a sub-lozengiform central area, from either side of which springs a wing-like element with decoratively cut edges. An integrally cast rivet with circular cross section projects backwards from the centre of the reverse.

Description:
Medieval silver-gilt bar mount with terminal lobes and a hemisphere at the centre. Both terminal lobes have circular perforations. The central hemisphere is decorated with diagonal grooves.
Dimensions:
Length: 18.9 mm Width: 9 mm Thickness: 4.1 mm Weight: 1.48 g
Discussion:
A similar copper alloy example with a cross-hatched hemisphere has been dated c. 1350-1400 (Egan, 2002, no.1161). Another parallel in silver-gilt is 2017 T262 (HAMP-C28BE4), which also has diagonal grooves.
Conclusion:
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a mini…

An Iron Age copper-alloy mount.
The central element of this decorative mount is an elongated-sub-hemispherical socket with four flattened outer faces. A boss with moulded swirl, executed in high relief, occupies each of these faces. On the underside is an oval opening with moulded rim and a concave underside. A rivet hole is located at the centre of the upper surface, punctuating the V-shaped groove that extends diagonally across the surface of the mount, dividing one pair of interlinked bosses from the other. The fields at the base of the bosses have been lightly stippled, whereas…

An unidentified copper-alloy artefact, dating from the Late Iron Age.
The back portion of the artefact comprises two sub-conical features which angle upwards from the base. A V-shaped cleft separates these two cones and the surface of each is decorated by a spiralled moulding that extends from the base to the apex, with a corresponding groove separating the swirls. An 'arm' projects horizontally forwards at the base of these cones, giving the piece an L-shaped side profile. This arm is of sub-oval section and curves upwards, terminating in a rounded distal end. A post-Medieval copper-alloy mount or pendant.
The mount is slightly domed and its scalloped outer side creates the overall impression of a flower head. A moulded flower head of four petals occupies the centre of the upper surface, with two concentric ropework rings surrounding. A third ropework border extends around the perimeter, and the area between it and the inner rings is filled with a moulded vine scroll pattern.
