A silver annular brooch that has a semicircular cross-section frame with a constriction to one side to mount the pin. The frame is decorated with four animal heads that are arranged into two set. The first group is bordering the constriction bar with the two heads facing each other and the bar in between. Each head has a raised, square cranium with pellet eyes in the two froward faceted corners and upwardly projecting knop ears above the rear two corners. A part of a silver half groat of Elizabeth 1st. It has been folded, and had broken along this fold line into approximatly half along the diamteer. It has alo been pierced with a neat, round hole, probably contemporaneously. It has also suffered possibly more modern damage, having been pierced with a square bladed implement, from the same side as the round hole was made. It is worn and details are difficult to ascertain.
