Description: The jetton is circular in plan and in a good condition. The token is a mid-green in colour.
Obverse: The bust of Mercury, facing right, within a fleur-de-lys and pellets border.
Reverse: An imperial orb within a trefoil tressure, bordered by rosettes.
Measurements: Diameter: 22 mm and Weight: 1.95 g.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to circa AD 1400-1500. The piece consists of a broadly lozengiform terminal, the front face of which carries incised foliate decoration, and a crescentic plate. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy spacer from a composite strap end datomg to circa AD 1270-1500. Rectangular-sectioned, the spacer is forked with two pointed prongs emerging from an openwork oval plate which terminatesl in an acordn shaped knop. Only one fork now survives. It tapers gently into a point. The other has broken away.
Similar examples are depicted in Egan and Pritchard 2002: pg 141, pl 92.

A complete copper-alloy chafing dish handle of Post Medieval dating to circa AD 1550-1700. The handle can be described in two parts: the loop handle and the attachment. The loop handle is heart-shaped in plan and rectangular-sectioned. It has a straight base functioning as a bar. It has bevelled edges. An incomplete Post Medieval copper-alloy spur dating to circa AD 1650-1800. The extant element consists of terminal of one of the spur's arms and separately made copper alloy strap hook.

A base sherd from a large post medieval salt-glazed stoneware jug, possibly of Cologne or Frechen ware. The fabric is hard fired and reduced grey throughout, with a brown-streaked glaze on the exterior. The vessel has a partial basal ring which would have been around 150mm in diameter and has thumb print indentations around the inside edge. The inner surface of the base is convex with a brown speckled glaze.

An incomplete (approx 1/4) Post Medieval ceramic delftware bichrome tin glazed wall tile dating to AD 1680-1750. Probably made in London. The tile is decorated with a central scene in blue and white depicting a castle or other building with a lake in front and a swan on the lake. Around this is a triple-line border with concave corner panels containing a floral motif. The reverse of the tile is unglazed.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon of Type 2 Crummy 1983, fig. 73, no. 2014 probably dating to AD 150 - 400. The fragment comprises most, if not all of the handle, with a C-shaped attachment loop between the handle and offset bowl - but the bowl itself is missing. The handle has been distorted into a twisted spiral shape. In cross-section, it goes from rectangular at the bowl attachment to circular at the opposing terminal.
The entire fragment is plain and undecorated, and covered in a mottled patina of a medium to dark green colour.

Silver-gilt badge in the form of a recessed roundel with two concentric circles forming a deep frame, the edges of which are dentillated. The centre of the badge is engraved with a crowned 'I' between two Tudor roses on a hatched background. The reverse of the badge is soldered with a strip of metal which has been broken off at the point where it doubles back forming a looped pin. The relatively small size of the badge and the shape of the pin suggest its function as a hat-badge.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of Medieval date.The surviving element consists of the plate; the frame is missing. The plate is rectangular, with four rivet holes. Set beyond the plate is a circular pinhole. Without the buckle frame it is hard to include a typology.
Similar buckle plates were found during excavations in London (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 111-12, no.500). These are all of late 12th to early 14th century date.

A complete probable miscast and/or unfinished copper-alloy catch piece sleeve clasp of C6th date. Consisting of a rectangular bar with a rectangular catch element projecting from the centre of othe front edge. The object appears to have been made in a two-piece mould, and there are casting flashes of metal surviving which in a finished object would have been filed away. No decoration can be seen and there is not evidence of lugs.
