Medieval buckle frame and plate. A copper alloy oval buckle frame with a separate sheet metal plate. An oval, lipped frame with a narrowed, offset bar. The outer edge of the frame has a slight point which is notched to form a pin rest. The rectangular sectioned pin is hooked around the bar.The plate is recessed for the frame and notched to allow attachment of the pin to the bar. The plate and frame are silvered or tinned. A copper-alloy strap end possibly circa 11th-14th century in date. Rectangular in shape with a cast front plate with an animal head terminal, the head is narrow with small ears and an open mouth. There is a seperate copper-alloy sheet on the back face, held in place via a copper-alloy rivet at either end. The strap end measures 37.43mm in length and 9.04mm in width.

Cast copper alloy strap junction from a late Early Medieval harness fitting. In plan it is lozenge shaped, with rounded knobs at each terminal. One of the terminals is larger with a worn break where it would have extended onto a bar. There is a central circular hole, with one edge more heavily worn where a strap would have been attached. It is 22.24mm long, 5.06mm thick and the central perforation has a diameter of 9.66mm. Weight 3.81 grams. The surface is worn and corroded.

A copper-alloy Roman seal box lid, it is lozenge shaped and measures 30.95mm in length and 20.79mm in width. One terminal has two opposing loops with a bar between them which woud have been the hinge by which the lid was attached the base. The opposite terminal has a rounded knop and the two central opposite terminals are square in shape. The lid has sides and these are 3.40mm in height. The lid has four circular holes through it, one in each corner of the lozenge.

Two knapped flint flakes. The flakes are knapped from an opaque mid brown coloured flint. Each has patches of cortex remaining. One flake has small vertical scars on the dorsal surface and the ventral surface has a small bulb of percussion and concentric rings. The other flake has two vertical scars on the dorsal surface and a small bulb of percussion and concentric rings on the ventral surface. The flakes weigh 4.4g.
The flake is prehistoric, probably dating to the Mesolithic or Neolithic periods (-8300 to -2100) when considering the size of the scars on the dorsal surface.
