A Medieval cast copper alloy single loop oval buckle. The frame has an ornate moulded outer edge comprising two lobed knops flanking a constriction for a transversely grooved sheet copper alloy roller. The strap bar is narrowed, recessed and offset. The pin is missing. A flint waste flake (debitage) probably of late Mesolithic to Neolithic date and reworked at a later Neolithic to Bronze age date. The flint appears to have been hard hammer struck from a secondary flake, with a pronouced bulb of percussion and single striking platform with surviving cortex. On the dorsal face is a deep smooth concave thumb shaped depression with a single arise. There are crude removals, possibly damage at the end of the arise near the distal edge. A copper alloy fragment of a blade, probably a dagger or rapier, dating to the late Bronze Age (c.1200-800 BC). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and narrows slightly to one end. It has a shallow lentoid cross-section. At the mid point, the blade tapers towards the cutting edge at each side. Each end terminates with a break that is worn and patinated, which suggests it was broken in antiquity. The surface is smooth with a dark brown patina. A complete lead-alloy pilgrim's ampulla of medieval date (c.AD 1350-1550). The body of the ampulla is circular with an squat rectangular neck extending from one edge. Two pointed attachment loops are positioned at opposite sides of the neck. The opening at the top of the neck has been pinched shut .Both faces are decorated with a raised design; one face presents a round bodied flask in the centre that extends into the neck of the ampulla. A complete, post-medieval copper alloy snake shaped strap-fitting of post-medieval date (c.AD1550-1850). The strap fitting is S-shaped in plan and sub-oval in cross section being wider than it is thick.
