A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, 31mm in length, dating to the early Bronze Age / Beaker period (c. 2500 BC-c. 1500 BC) and made from a pale brown flint. The arrowhead is triangular with lenticular cross-section and has scaled and low angle retouch on both sides. The barbs are longer than the tang and convex on the outer edges with obliquely angled tips (Type C) and the tang is narrow and rounded (Type G).
This example fits into the sub-classification of non-Fancy B&T arrowheads best described as Green Low types (Butler 2005: 162-165, after Green (1980).

An early Neolithic leaf shaped arrowhead struck from a brown flint. The arrowhead is broadly "kite" shaped with symmetrical convex sides (cf. Butler (2005), p 123, Type 2C) and bifacially worked. The dorsal face has long, low-angle covering pressure-flaked retouch and the ventral face has patches of long, low angle intrusive parallel retouch at either end. The cross section is plano convex with the ventral surface being slightly flatter than the dorsal surface. The butt end is incomplete.

Copper alloy buckle. Cast single looped-shaped buckle with an expanded and thickened outer edge and with a biting beast head at either end of a narrowed strap bar; a groove serves as a pin rest. A narrow rectangular slotted plate of thickness 0.5mm with a rounded end flanked by spurs on the display side is looped round the strap bar and was secured by three rivets, one passing through the rounded terminal of the plate. A rectangular section pin passes through the slot in the plate and is looped round the frame. Plate now crumpled. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 1000-1100

An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy dress fastener of Read's Class E Type 3, dating to c.1500-1650.
Sub-oval open-work plate with piercings around the outer edge. An old break at the base probably once formed a hooked arm, with a rectangular attachment loop at the opposite end. The face has moulded decoration of two chevrons with possibly a thistle head or similar above. The reverse is plain and flat and the surface displays an even green patina.
Length 22.8mm, width 16.1mm, thickness 2.1mm, weight 2.9g.

An incomplete polished flint axehead, dating to c.4000-2350 BC. The axehead is made from a light brown flint. Only the front portion remains; this has a curved cutting edge which has been polished. The axehead has breaks to both lateral sides and heavy damage to the dorsal and ventral surfaces. The rear end has been lost.

Rectangular sheet metal plate symmetrically folded and retaining one of four dome-headed rivets of head diameter 2.9mm and length c.7mm; the rivet shank is unusually long and pointed. An incomplete copper alloy pin of probable Roman date c.43-410 AD.
The pin has a hemispherical head with a bevelled underside and no collar. The shaft of the pin is sub-circular in cross-section and tapers slightly over its 5.2mm length before terminating in an old break. It has a slight contraction also just before the pin head. Just before the break the pin is flattened on both sides to form a soft triangular point almost as if it has been cut by pressure from two sides.
The pin is a light-green colour with no visible decoration.

A long narrow symmetrically folded and slotted plate of thickness 0.8mm with a broad rouletted border on its display side, secured by five rivets of diameter 1.9mm and length 4.7mm, wrapped round the offset and narrowed strap bar of a small buckle whose frame is mostly lost. The view achieved by image processing might hint at the survival of an organic strap between the plates. Suggested date: Medieval, 1250-1400
