An incomplete cast copper alloy post medieval buckle. Only half of the trapezoidal frame survives, one loop is missing. On either side of the narrowed strap bar is a bifid knop and the pin is missing. The surviving length is 21.2mm, the width is 23.0mm and weight is 2.79g.

A gilded buckle plate and attached pin. The frame is missing. The short plate has three rivet holes in line. Decoration comprises a double border with zig zags between the lines. The pin has a transverse ridge adjacent to its loop. Iron corrosion suggests that the frame may have been of iron but this would be unusual.

The single loop rectangular buckle frame has an expanded outer edge with three transverse grooves in the centre and one at each edge. On each side of the frame are two casting spurs. The strap bar is narrowed and offset and the pin is missing. The length is 17.7mm, the width is 16.8mm and the weight is 2.48g.

A complete cast copper alloy medieval buckle and frame. The trefoil shaped buckle frame has a cusp in each angle and narrowed and offset strap bar. The rectangular buckle frame is recessed for the frame and is folded at both ends. The frame has a pinhole for the cast copper alloy pin, two rivet holes and the front is decorated with a border of two rocker-arm lines. The length is 32.9mm, the width is 15.2mm and the weight is 3.11g.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval hooked tag. The hollow rectangular body is semi-circular in cross section and from the base of the body is an incomplete integral hook. The convex front has lozengiform cross-hatching decoration on the central panel and the backplate is torn and the top half is missing. The surviving length is 29.9mm, the width is 14.5mm and the weight is 4.40g. A parallel from London has been dated to the 15th century (Ward Perkins, 1940, p 273 and 279, plate LXXVI, No. 9).

German Denar (Pfennig) of Cologne, struck under Archbishop Konrad von Hochstaden (1238-61) as 'Elekt' (1238-9); mint Soerst normally spelt Soest, (in Westphalia, east of Dortmund). Note he is depicted bare-headed; his coins as 'Minister' (1239-44) and Archbishop (1244-61) show him wearing a mitre. A similar example can be seen in the Coins section of an exhibition catalogue 'Die Zeit der Staufer'(Wüttembergisches Landesmuseum, 1977), p.111, no. 175.21 ( referenced as H. 653) and pl. 93, 7 and 8-9. A cast copper alloy drop handle lug possibly from a chafing dish of late medieval or post-medieval date. The sub-oval lug is rectangular in section and has a central circular perforation (diameter 6.4mm). From the flared end of the lug projects the remains of an iron rivet which would have secured the handle to the vessel. The length is 23.3mm, the width is 15.0mm, the thickness is 8.6mm and the weight is 14.39mm.

An incomplete cast copper alloy rowel spur, probably of a post medieval date. Only one of the D-section sides is complete, the other is truncated at a midway point. The complete side terminates with a slanted figure of eight terminal, which is attached to the side by one of the loops. In each loop is a copper-alloy rove with a solid domed head. Looped around the inner loop is a copper alloy attachment with a small integral cylindrical loop. The length of the spur is 85.2mm, the maximum width is 45.0mm and the weight is 36.48g

Cast copper-alloy belt fastener complete with one loop.
The fastener is serpent shaped with a head at either end.
There is moulded decoration on all sides including the facial features and scales covering both necks. In the centre where the two necks join there is a band with leaf decoration to either side.
The loop is 19.11mm in diameter.

Upper Palaeolithic to probable Mesolithic (40,000BC-6,500BC) flint bladelet struck from a single platform core. The edges have been retouched but modern crushing damage has prevented further observations. The flint is light brown to mid grey in colour.
The bladelet measures 45mm in length, is 20mm wide and 3mm in thickness.
