A fragment of a copper alloy (bronze) socketed axehead of middle to late Bronze Age date (c. 1300-800 BC). The fragment comprises the blade, above which is a worn and abraded break that reveals a shallow portion of the socket.
The fragment is sub-trapezoidal in plan and has a triangular cross section. The blade is an asymmetrical crescent, which is possibly due to wear and abrasion. An incomplete and slightly unusual copper alloy Roman Colchester Polden Hill brooch of Mackreth 2011, CD PH 9.d. Plate 54 no. 1649, dating to AD 50-70. Most of the bow is missing.
The head of the brooch survives. The wings are oval, with an open reverse and each wing terminating in a perforated oval wing cap.

An incomplete copper alloy sword scabbard chape of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1450 to c. AD 1600).
The chape consists of the front portion. The chape is broadly U-shape, or roughly sub-triangular, and semi-circular in cross-section. There are two v-shaped voids at one end where there would have been a flared opening. The sides taper downwards towards a basal knop at the other end. Two transverse ridges extend across the centre and upper portion of the chape. The reverse is concave with a bevelled edge that would have attached to the other half.

An incomplete copper alloy cruciform stud or mount, likely a furniture fitting or decoration, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800).
The mount is domed. It has four lobes, making it a cruciform or quatrefoil shape. Each lobe has an incised line down the centre, and a central cross marking out the separate lobes. The reverse is concave, with an incomplete rectangular cross sectioned attachment spike present at the centre.
It measures 24.6 mm in length, 23.5 mm wide and 13.4 mm thick. It weighs 20.6 g.
The mount is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina.

The object has a slightly flared terminal at the rear end, with a scalloped rear edge and a single rivet hole in the middle which retains a copper alloy rivet. The front of the clasp has moulded decoration with two transverse bands of pellets and lozenges towards the front and oblique panels of what may be fleur-de-lys flanking the rivet hole. The fabric is a reduced grey with oxidised reddish brown exterior and abundant large (<3.5mm) sub angular shell inclusions. A complete copper alloy, enamelled harness pendant dating to the medieval period (c. AD 1200-1372).
The pendant is shield-shaped and rectangular in cross-section. At the top it has a circular suspension loop postioned at 90 degrees to the rest of the object. The face of the pendant is worn but decorated with an enamelled heraldic motif consisting of a field of blue (azure) divided in half by a diagonal bend consisting of three lines. A rectangular decorative double framed buckle with central iron bar (missing) dating to 1450 - 1600 AD. The pin and central bar are missing and the frame is curved in profile.
