The surfaces are slightly pitted and abraded; and shows sign of wear on the interior edge, potentially from an attachment to a larger piece. It is 20.55mm in width, 17.47mm in length and weighs 10.78g.

No inner circles. There is an oblique c.4.20mm long tear in the coin around 12 o'clock on the obverse, and part of the coin is bent upward from around 7 o'clock to around 12 o'clock on the obverse.

An incomplete copper alloy sword scabbard chape of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (Late 15th to 16th Century AD).
The chape is incomplete, with only the front plate surviving. This plate is also slightly damaged. The chape is sub-oval in plan with a rounded front and a dished reverse for the blade. The chape terminates in a knop and is crenellated at the top, at the attachment end. It has an openwork trefoil in the centre. A series of moulded ribs extend from the openwork trefoil to the edges of the chape, flaring gradually.
