A cast copper alloy sub annular post medieval shoe buckle. The frame is 26.3 in length and decorated with moulded transverse ridges. It is drilled for an iron spindle which has a triangular stud chape (missing its stud) and the remnant of an iron pin but has separated from the frame. There is an illegible maker's mark on the chape.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy buckle, dating to c.AD 300 - 410. Half of the buckle frame remains. Hawkes and Dunning Type IIA. The remaining fragment is C shaped in plan and semi-circular in section, it is formed of a dolphin with a gaping jaw. A large ring and dot motif forms the eve and a large fin covers the dolphins back. At the base of tail is an incomplete circular loop which would have held the now missing spindle.

A complete copper alloy Buckle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1660-1720). The object is a double looped sub-rectangular frame with a lipped outer edges, contracted sides and knops flanking the narrowed strap bar and six grooves in the outer edges. The wire pin is missing.

A complete copper alloy Buckle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1660-1720). The object is a double looped sub-rectangular frame with a lipped outer edge, contracted sides flanking the narrowed strap bar and three grooves in outer edge. The wire pin is retained, recurved and tapering around the strap bar.

A complete copper-alloy early medieval to medieval D-shaped buckle loop frame with a narrowed bar, and a fragment remains of the pin attached to the bar, pin missing. The outside edge of the loop is bevelled. There are zoomorphic mouldings each side of the strap bar.
It is 28.49mm in length, 22.02mm in width,3.97mm in thickness and weighs 5.93g.
Similar examples can be see in Griffiths et al, 2007, pg62, 310, which they date broadly to the 11th-12th Century AD.

A copper-alloy sub-triangular buckle frame of Medieval date, circa AD 1250 - 1400.
The buckle is sub-triangular in plan and has a single D-shaped loop. It has a narrow and off-set axis bar. There are sub rectangular mouldings at the end of each side of the strap bar as it joins the frame. The pin is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. This is a circular, single looped buckle with a lozenge-shaped section. There is a small portion of the frame that is constricted, with a circular section, where the pin would have looped around the frame. There is no pin rest. The pin has not survived.

An incomplete early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy buckle with integral plate. It is broadly triangular in form with hollow/concave back face.The attachment end is semi-circular with a central circular rivet hole and each side of the plate has identical moulded decoration, the frame is now incomplete and there is a pin hole for the missing pin in the centre of the plate. An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval pin form a disc on pin buckle dating form AD 1300 - 1500.
The element is made from a flat circular disc with a tapering pint projecting at one end, and an incomplete loop projecting at the other. the disc is decorated with a central circular recess (cell) that is now empty of any contents. The object is a greenish brown colour.
The buckle fragment is 23.7mm long, 16.2mm wide, 1.1mm thick and weighs 1.45 grams.
