The base is rectangular (20 x 13 mm) with a rectangular projection at each corner bringing the maximum dimensions up to 23 x 17 mm; it is 10-11 mm thick.  The rectangular projections continue up the base on the long edges but not on the short edges, giving a tapering effect.   The underside of the base has a series of scratched lines forming a rough ziz-zag of perhaps five points, with a line beneath them; the lines are patinated and look as if they might be original.  On the top of the base are two tall cones which bend slightly towards each other.  Their maximum diameter is 5 mm and they increase the height of the object to 23 mm.   This could possibly be a Viking playing piece.  There is a roughly similar example in Graham-Campbell 1980 (no. 307), however this is very much smaller at 12.94g.  All Viking and Late Anglo-Saxon experts consulted, however, (Susan Youngs, Leslie Webster, Caroline Paterson) do not recognise the object.</description><fourFigureLon>1.516365</fourFigureLon></result><result><denominationName>Other</denominationName><district>EAST CAMBRIDGESHIRE</district><objecttype>COIN</objecttype><county>CAMBRIDGESHIRE</county><created>2002-11-28T00:00:00Z</created><regionName>EAST</regionName><diameter>10</diameter><materialTerm>Copper alloy</materialTerm><identifier>Faye Minter</identifier><id>35449</id><knownas>ISLEHAM</knownas><old_findID>SF9870</old_findID><workflow>3</workflow><parish>Restricted Access</parish><weight>0.33</weight><updated>2012-08-28T08:31:50Z</updated><quantity>1</quantity><broadperiod>UNKNOWN</broadperiod><fourFigureLat>52.312615</fourFigureLat><fourFigureLon>0.404389</fourFigureLon></result><result><district>SUFFOLK COASTAL</district><objecttype>UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT</objecttype><county>SUFFOLK</county><created>2001-11-09T00:00:00Z</created><regionName>EAST</regionName><materialTerm>Copper alloy</materialTerm><length>49</length><filename>NACsf860sf7367.jpg</filename><thumbnail>8640</thumbnail><creator>Helen Geake</creator><identifier>Helen Geake</identifier><width>11</width><id>37937</id><knownas>NACTON</knownas><old_findID>SF7367</old_findID><workflow>3</workflow><parish>Restricted Access</parish><weight>10.94</weight><imagedir>images/hgeake/</imagedir><updated>2011-02-24T12:19:48Z</updated><quantity>1</quantity><broadperiod>UNKNOWN</broadperiod><fourFigureLat>52.005019</fourFigureLat><thickness>15</thickness><description>Unidentified object made from cast copper alloy.  It bears a curious resemblance to the nib of a pen, but this may just be fortuitous.  At one end the object is a hollow cylindrical tube, 10 mm in diameter.  The tube has a worn groove around the top and a worn moulding close to the bottom; these decorations do not appear to continue around the reverse, where there is a longitudinal rectangular projecting lug across the line of the moulding.  This lug is 8 mm long and 3 mm wide, and has a central circular perforation.  Below the tube, the object is cut away at the reverse and slightly thickened at the front to form a nib-like shape.  There are traces of two worn grooves which curve down and up again around the top of the 'nib', which then flattens gradually towards the point.   &#13;
