Cast copper alloy buckle with an integral frame. Loop rectangular/square, plate made up of two rounded elements separated by and transverse moulding, on its underside is an integral rivet and washer. Adjacent to the loop is a hole which would have accommodated that pin. Length 28.9mm, Width 14.0mm, Mass 5.03g. This small buckle is of the type used to secure the leathers on a spur. In London spur buckles of this type were found in contexts dating to 1270-1350 (Clark, 2004, Fig. 109)

Cast copper alloy strap loop, D shaped with a moulded projection at the curve of the D and a straight lower bar through which is single rivet hole. Functionally, this object may be compared to strap loops like those see on Egan and Pritchard's (1991) Fig. 147 but its form resembles the pendant loop shown on Fig. 138, No. 1192. Fragment of a cast copper alloy finger ring, oval bezel bearing a deeply cut figure of a bovid beneath an inverted crescent. Around the sides of the bezel is a row of low bosses with further bosses in the angles between the bezel and the hoop. Most of the hoop is missing. This object would be difficult to date even if it was possible to re examine it but its form can be paralleled by NMS-4DC4F4 which was Roman. .

Cast copper alloy mount or fitting, plate in the form of a crowned rose case in relief. From the base of this extends a 4mm diameter rod with two grooves around its rounded tip. The bar is now bent but may have once form a hook or loop. On the back of the plate is a hand made wood screw which appears to have been integrally cast. This object may have been a carriage fitting. Length 80.5mm, Width 43.5mm, Thickness 4.5mm, Mass 51.15g. The presence of the pointed wood screw shows that this object must be of recent date.

Cast copper alloy pommel cap (?), hollow, slipper shaped with a flat plate extending from edge. This has a denticulate edge and through it were three holes though which it was attached to the saddle's wooden frame. There are signs of wear on back. While these objects are conventionally seen as being part of post Medieval saddles direct evidence is lacking. However, while the 16th century saddle from London (Egan 2005, Material Culture in an Age of Transition, 181-3) lacks a pommel cap it does have a narrow, raised pommel and a fitting of this type would not be inappropriate.
