A slightly tapered D-section pin springing from a trapezoid block with spurs or stubs of a continuation at its outer corners and the stub of a forward-pointing projection between the spurs. A copper alloy gilded buckle plate and pin, dating to the Medieval period (c.1200-1400). It has two rectangular rectangular plates, front and back, connected with two narrowed integral strips with central slot for the pin extending from one end. Two iron rivets are present to the opposite end of the plate, one in each corner. It has a zoomorphic design and is gold gilded.
