A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy vessel foot from a cooking or serving pot, dating perhaps to c AD 1250 - 1500. What is extant is the flat trapezoidal base of the foot and a very short section of the leg, above which is an early break. The leg itself rises from the base at an angle, towards the body of the pot and is a flattish oval in section. This flares out over the base in a paw-like shape and it has three, possibly four 'toes', one largely missing to an old break.  Dimensions: 25.6mm in height; 46.5mm in width; 95.38g in weight cf Egan (1998:164, 166) no 460

Fragment of an Early Saxon copper alloy Cruciform brooch, part of the headplate and one integral knob only. The latter is half-round, waisted and is decorated with two transverse grooves before the waist. The highly distorted headplate is very badly affected by heat. Extant length 39mm. Early 6th century.

A complete cast copper-alloy end-looped cosmetic pestle dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 1-200 AD.  It consists of a flattened sub-circular sectioned rod with one end pointed and the other demonstrating an integrally cast end-loop. It is plain with no decorative elements. It measures 49.38mm in length, 4.53mm in width and 8.95g in weight.  Similar examples can be found on the PAS database (SF-A3D5C7, SF-B6A85B SF-FADE94).

Fragment of Early Saxon copper alloy Great square-headed brooch, the greater part of the headplate only, with the stump of a single pin lug on the reverse. All breaks are not recent. A rectangular inner panel is filled with Style 1 ornament and surrounded by an undecorated frame. The top edge, though somewhat uneven, is apparently intact. Not assigned to one of Hines' (1997) groups. Extant length 23mm. Width 34mm. c.500 - c.550.

Fragment of an Early Saxon copper alloy bow brooch, probably a Small-long, an incomplete and distorted headplate with only one small length of original edge extant and the upper end of the hollow backed bow. On the reverse a single pin lug is partly covered in the remains of the iron spring. The breaks are not recent. Extant length 25.5mm. Late 5th century.
