A thin, plain, gold Post Medieval finger ring dating circa AD 1724 - 2000.
The ring is severely bent and mis-shapen, becoming sub-anular in plan, U-shaped in profile and D-shaped in cross-section. The surface of the ring is a uniform and even gold colour, with no decoration present. There is a surface break visible near one of the bend points.

An incomplete Medievel copper-alloy buckle dating to circa AD 1200-1400. It consists of a D-shaped frame and rectangular-sectioned pin wrapped around the bar. The frame is flat with bevelled edges. It is plainly decorated. The exterior edge of the pin is has a collar at the junction of the head and shank. The shank terminates in an old break.
The piece is consistent with Meols Type 1 dating to the 12th and 13th centuries AD (Griffiths, Philpott and Egan 2006).

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy buckle frame dating from 1550-1650. Plano-convex in section with bevelled outer edge it is a spectacle buckle with two D-shaped loops joined by an offset strap bar. At the junction of the frame and bar, the outer edges have moulded triangular knops. The pin is missing.
Similar examples are depicted in Whitehead 2003: nos 301-309.

Ring such as these are common founds and difficult to date without secure archaeological contexts. They may have been part of horse-harness, or used for suspension of vessels, or as curtain-rings, and so on. The irregular frame is indicative of a Medieval date (Geake 2001: Rings)

An incomplete gilded copper alloy Early Anglo-Saxon saucer brooch of Early Medieval dating (AD 470 to AD 550).
The brooch is sub-circular in plan. Traces of gilding are present on the surface. It is quite worn, and there are chips missing from the edging. The reverse has two lugs with no extant trace of a pin, one of the lugs is the incomplete catchplate.

The object has one straight, flat edge. One end of the straight edge is thin, whilst the opposite end is much thicker, possibly the base of the foot. The thin end, measuring to a thickness of 7.5mm. widens in a gentle slope. The thicker end is 16.9mm thick. The opposite face to the straight, flat face has a central ridge running vertically from the thin to the thick end.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy composite strap end dating to circa AD 1200-1400. The strap end is small and worn. At one end is a pointed terminal. It terminates at the other end in an old break immediately after a median in situ, separately, made copper alloy rivet joining two plates together. One plate is decorated immediately after the rivet with incised triangular grooves running along the vertical axis. It is likely the piece would have been much longer, the design more elaborate, and a second rivet present at the now missing attachment end.

A fragment of a copper alloy Crotal bell of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object is composed of approximately 1/4 of the lower hemisphere of the bell. There is a section of raised circumferential mid-rib retained with minor portions of the upper hemisphere retained above. The bell is of single cast form. The retained lower portion is decorated with a radiating linear 'sunburst' pattern.

Copper alloy buckle. Cast single looped or D-shaped buckle frame with a slightly expanded outer edge and a narrowed and offset strap bar. A neat rectangular buckle plate of thickness 0.5mm, narrower behind, was secured by three dome-headed rivets of diameter 2mm from which the heads have all been knocked off, a pair of rocker-work curls are stamped on the display side of the plate along with a neatly incised rocker-work linear border. A complete post medieval two piece copper alloy button, dating between AD 1700-1800
The body of the button is conical, with a rounded apex, part of the rim being slightly bent inwards. Both the interior and exterior surfaces of the button are plain and undecorated. A loop of copper wire is fixed to the apex of the interior of the button, and is bent toward the rim of the button. The button is dark brown in colour

An incomplete copper alloy Crotal bell of a single cast form of Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. There are two sound holes, one larger, on either side of the upper hemisphere where the remnants of a now lost integral suspension loop would have been situated. A complete post medieval lead alloy shot probably from a flintlock military wall gun dating between 1700-1800 AD.
The shot is sub-spherical, with a small flattened section possibly resulting from the inclusion of the shot in a multiple load. The shot has numerous linear divots and striations across its surface, possibly caused by gas erosion, an effect occurring at the instant of firing an unwadded projectile. No evidence of a casting sprue is readily apparent.
