An incomplete late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval copper-alloy book fitting, dating to c.AD 1400 - 1600. Howsam type A.3. It is sub-rectangular and formed of one sheet copper alloy. The plate has a flared and scalloped open end. At the opposing end terminates in an old break. It is decorated in the centre with an annulet and three concentric rings. At the scalloped edge are six circular rivet holes.
