An almost complete copper alloy socketed Axe head of Late Bronze Age dating, probably Ewart Park (1000 BC to 700 BC). The socketed axehead has a square mouth, rectangular body, flaring into a crescentic cutting edge, with triangular shaped sides. Three evenly spaced fairly worn ribs are present on the front and back faces. The ribs have a length of 26.5 mm. A side loop is present, measuring 27.5 mm in length, 10.3 mm wide and 5.1 mm thick. On the reverse is an integrally cast drilled loop that has been folded over. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of the Wirral type dating to c.AD  75-200. Around 50% of the brooch is present, with the foot, headloop and pin missing.
