Iron tool, blade expanded and crescentic, 77mm wide, section flat. Above this the section narrows, to form a waist, before expanding to a 38mm diameter cylindrical section the end of which narrows to from a hammer like face. This object is best interpreted as a blacksmith's 'hot set' a chisel like tool which was used to cut hot metal at the forge.

Cast copper alloy brooch of 'bow and fantail' type, expanded fantail foot bears three incised triangles containing red enamel. Bow plain, expanded wings about with was loop, now missing. Heavy pin with a hinge type mechanism. Brooch bears some signs of distortion.
