An incomplete medieval silver penny of Henry VIII, dating to the period AD 1526-1544. H D G ROSA SIE SPIA obverse with crowned figure enthroned facing forward. Long cross over squared shield reverse with C and D either side. Durham mint. Second coinage, star initial mark. North Vol II, p. 112, no 1813. There is a small chip out of the legend.
