A slightly bent silver unit of Tasciovanus of the Trinovantes, dating to the period 25 BC - AD 10. Trailing reign type, BMC 1655 varient, ABC 2631. Struck on a flan of uneven thickness. This is a rare coin and is the first of its type recorced on the PAS database. The damage to the obverse is identical to that of one sold recently on eBay, suggesting that they were struck using the same die.
