A worn silver Iron Age unit of the East Wiltshire group, dating from c. 50-35 BC. Cottam et al (2010) refer to this as the 'six-spoked pellet ring' type (ABC 2125). BMC 3019-20, VA 1171. This is not a common coin, indeed all the coins of the un-named East Wiltshire group are rare, as they were only produced for a short time and the group was probably absorbed into one of the larger tribes in the area (Cottam et al 1998:107).
