Medieval hammered silver penny of Richard I and dates from 1189 to 1199AD. It is a class 4b due to the chin and beard made up of small pellets and with 7 pearls to the crown and with a single crescent either side for hair. With no pellet legend and with malformed letters. The obverse legend reads as HENRICVS REX and the reverse legend reads as WILLELM ON LVN so the moneyer is William of London. The diameter is 18mm, and the weight is 1.34g.
