A copper-alloy French jetton of Medieval date. This is an example of a 'Dolphin' jetton alluding to the former province of Dauphiné, south-east France, and struck during the reign of Charles V or Charles VI, between c. 1373 and 1415 (Mitchiner 1988: 182-184). The jetton has a dark green patina and is worn and corroded in places. It measures 23.3mm in diameter, 0.8mm thick and weighs 1.94g.

A copper alloy jetton from the late medieval or early post medieval period. The jetton has a diameter of 23.4mm and is 1.8mm thick. It weighs 3.1g. The edges are damaged, making the reverse legend illegible. The jetton was struck in Tournois under Louis XII or Francis I sometime between 1497 and 1521. For references see Mitchiner’s (1988) ‘Jetons, Medalets and Tokens’ Volume I, numbers 756 – 758. The jetton is in good condition and has a dark green patina.

Mitchiner (1988; pp. 200-206), this French jetton was struck under the reign of Charles VII, Loius XI or Charles VIII, between 1447 and 1497AD. It has been pierced in order to convert it into a pendant. It measures 25.6mm in diameter, 0.7mm thick and weighs 2.17g.
