A copper alloy provincial coin of Severus Alexander dating to the period AD 222 to 235. Three standards reverse. Mint of Nicaea, Bithynia. BMC Vol. 13, p. 168, no. 100-103. It is possible that this coin is a modern loss rather than an ancient one. These coins are rarely found by metal detectorists and it is not believed they were not in wide circulation in the Romano-British period.
