A copper alloy Roman cosmetic mortar implement. Its shape resembles a thin concaved leaf, narrowing at the outer end. Its handle folds back underneath itself, where it spirals in. It has an even green patina and measures 62.73mm x 21.56mm x 8.99, weighing 11.74g. It probably dates to the 1st or 2nd century AD. Similar examples can be found on the database (NMGW-9759E6, BUC-E0C3B8).
