Roman bow brooch: a fragment of a Roman hinged T-shaped brooch, dating to between the mid-1st and mid-2nd centuries AD. The brooch is now fragmented and corroded, but it can be seen that it has narrow, rolled wings, containing the remains of the pin hinge (pin now missing). The bow is a simple, tapering curve with no sign of ornament. The brooch is truncated jclose to its base, such that the foot and catchplate are missing.
