An almost complete, but clipped medieval silver groat of Edward IV (first reign AD 1461 - 1470), dating to AD 1464 - 1470. Mint of London. Initial mark crosss. North no. 1570. The coin has a 90 degree bend, probably accidental.
Obverse: Crowned bust facing within tressure of arches, trefoils on cusps. Quatrefoils by bust. Legend: EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC
Reverse: Mint within two concentric circles. Long cross pattée dividing legends with three pellets in each angle. Legend: POSVI DEVM ADIVTORVM MEVM // CIVITAS LONDON
