A silver clipped Siliqua of Valentinian I, AD364-375. AD364-367 (Reece period 19). Reverse legend reads RESTITVTOR REIP. Reverse shows Emperor standing holding labarum and Victory on globe. Mint is Lyon. See RIC IX, p.43, no.6d. Obverse shows pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend reads D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG. Condition is fine, die axis is 12 o'clock, weight is 1.8g, diameter is 16mm.

A silver siliqua of Valentinian I, 364-375, possibly slightly clipped. Mint is Rome, 364-367, Reece period 19. Obverse shows Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend reads D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG. Reverse shows inscribed wreath. Reverse legend is contained within the wreath and reads VOT/V/MVLT/X. Reverse fields and exergue read: / //RQ. Condition is fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 1.61g, diameter is 17.64mm. See RIC IX, p.118, no.10b varient and Hoxne p.137, no.198. This is a find of note. This is a rare mint mark variety.

Obverse legend reads DN VALENTINI[...]. Reverse shows wreath with legend within. Reverse legend reads VOT/X/MVLT/X. Die axis is 12 o'clock, weight is 1.45g, diameter is 16.45mm.
