A contemporary copy of a Roman coin, possibly a 3rd century radiate denarius, which has been silver plated or silver washed on a copper alloy core (c. AD 275-296). Both legends are nearly illegible, although it is possible to read the end of the obverse legend: [...](I/N)VS AV[G], suggesting emperors like Carausius, Divus Claudius or perhaps Gallienus. The reverse is completely illegible due to the copper alloy corroding through the silver surface. It seems to depict a standing figure or perhaps an animal, the remains of which are three vertical lines.
