<notes>This is an anonymous issue which can only be dated to post&#45;211 BC. It is, however, no later than the 2nd century BC. Copper&#45;alloy coins of the Republican period are rare finds in Britain, the only other example on the PAS database being ESS&#45;05C304. This coin was examined by M. H. Crawford, author of &#39;Roman Republican Coinage&#39;.</notes>
