A complete silver coin of Post-Medieval date (AD 1558-1649). The coin is heavily worn and struck coin with the letters R B stamped onto one side. Probably a Sixpence or Groat. Any detail on the coin has been worn off or deliberately removed, meaning it is hard to identify with any degree of certainty. It is likely, based on its size, to be either a groat from the reign of Elizabeth I to Charles I. This coin has been worn too heavily on the obverse to be identified and is slightly clipped around the edges. A single, round hole has been punched through from the obverse to the reverse face, possibly to remove it from circulation. The reverse design is still slightly visible, showing the rounded and floral shield of Charles I-II.
