Middle Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy pin with globular head and an integral collared shaft. The shaft is bent once (around 70-80 degrees) and may be complete. It measures approximately 42mm from the collar at base of the head to the tapering but blunt tip. The head is almost entirely covered with punched ring-and-dot impressions. Fragment of copper alloy, probably a small piece of foot from an early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. The fragment is C-shaped in cross-section, hollow on the reverse, and is broken at both ends (one break fairly fresh and granular, the other more worn). At one end, the front has a bold moulding, 4-5mm deep and flat-topped, which is divided into two by an off-centre transverse groove. The plate is narrow and oval, waisted to a flared rear end which is characteristically split but incomplete having  broken across the rivet holes on the edge. An early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy saucer brooch, dating to c. AD.450-550. The front of the brooch is dished, with an angular and upturned rim around; this is incomplete on one side. The front of the brooch is decorated with a five pointed star pattern formed by double-ridged concave arcs enclosed by an engraved concentric line around a small central boss. There is no trace of gilding. The reverse has an in-line hinge lug and catchplate. There is extensive deposition of iron corrosion products around the hinge lug from a now lost iron spring and pin.

An assemblage of 20 pieces of grey ceramic vessel, some decorated, of Early Medieval date, AD 400 - 700. They may be from cremation urns. They are all body sherds. The fabric is hard, dark grey throughout, with an irregular texture. There are frequent large (about 1-1.5mm), slightly rounded quartz or quartzite inclusions. Some pieces have poorly sorted similar inclusions of varying sizes. Tehe largest decorated piece has stamped marks in rows. The top line is S shaped stamps. The plate is narrow and oval, expanding from the rear edge to a maximum width of 9mm before narrowing into a pointed zoomorphic terminal.
