An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy small-long brooch dating to circa 450-480 AD. Only the foot survives. The upper section of the front face is decorated with three double incised transverse grooves. The edges are decorated with punched dots. The foot flares outwards into a trapezoid with a moulded terminal ridge. The incomplete catchplate projects from the reverse of the foot. It is rectangular sectioned and flat. It would have had a folded edge but this is now missing.

It consists of slightly less than a third of the original brooch, with only around half the bow, catch-plate and less than half of the footplate. The rest of the object is missing to old breaks. A complete early medieval cast silver pyramidal mount, probably from a sword scabbard. It is in the form of a hollow truncated pyramid with a square base and a flat top. Each face is decorated with three triangular recesses, one at the top with the point downwards and one each in the left and right corners, their points upwards. On the top is a partially recessed circular cell with a pellet in the centre. An integral bar runs transversely across the base, rounded in section in the middle and flattened towards each end.
