A medieval rim sherd. The colour of the sherd is inconsistent: the salmon inner surface is the most uniform in colour, and the margins are mostly grey save for the top of the rim which is also salmon-coloured. The outer surface has areas of salmon as well as grey, but also features two distinct areas of green glaze which retains its sheen. The fabric is largely abraded and contains abundant grey inclusions as well as quartz. Mica inclusions are more sparsely visible. On the inner surface towards the top of the rim and the margin there is a significant void of 6.1mm in length.…

A complete copper-alloy trade weight dating to the post medieval to modern period, c.AD 1780-1820. The weight is circular in shape with a raised rim and recessed centre. There are two incised concentric circle in the centre. At 12 o'clock is a crowned GR. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The object has a dark green patina. It measures 25.37mm in diameter, 4.39mm in thickness and 13.19g in weight. An incomplete copper alloy colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch (4.a type) of Roman date, circa AD 80-120. The brooch is missing its lower bow, foot, catchplate, spring and pin. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1660 - 1720. The buckle is a trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The sides of the frame are decorated with moulded knops around the spindle while the outer loops are decorated with lozenge-shaped recesses which act as pin rests. The pin and spindle no longer remain. The metal has a flat grey patina and is worn. The buckle is 24.39mm long, 16.02mm wide, 4.57mm thick and weighs 3.31g.
