Pottery rim sherd with a rounded top that is everted externally, with a slight groove below this where the pot is angled to form the wall of the vessel, but essentially what Manby (1999) refers to as a simple rim on page 61, in Table 6.2. The sherd is made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The fabric has inclusions of pale felspars, dark augite and mica and is mid-brown on the exterior and on the interior of the rim, with an orangey-brown core.
