An incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman cast copper-alloy rosette variant, lion (leontomorphe) derivative bow brooch (AD 30-60). The foot, spring mechanism and pin, and the catch plate are missing. The wings (or spring housing) are semi-circular, open at the rear. The upper and lower part of the bow is flat and is divided by a narrow waist which has a small protrusion at the front and is flat at the rear. Beneath the wings, the sides of the upper part of the bow taper and then expand to the waist. From the waist, the sides of the lower part of the bow taper to a transverse break.…

Possibly a wrought iron socketed sickle fragment dating from the Earliest Iron Age, that is c. 800-600BC. It would have been part of the Early Iron Age Llyn Fawr metalwork assemblage and contemporary with early iron spearheads, wrought iron socketed axes, copper-alloy socketed axes of Sompting and related types and Hallstatt razors.The fragment is very worn and the surface on both obverse and reverse is pitted and flaky and in need of conservation. An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman La Tène III (AD 20-100) simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch. It is missing the lower bow and catchplate, and the pin is bent to one side. The brooch measures 43.26mm in length and weighs 4.23g. The head consists of four spring coils 11.22mm wide with a copper alloy axis bar between (11.71mm wide). The third coil from the left extends into the pin, which narrows to a point. A complete copper-alloy toggle of Iron Age date. A cast copper alloy, dumbbell shaped toggle, dating from the late Iron Age or early Roman period. It consists of two globular hemispheres joined together by a narrower, circular neck. There is a single groove around the base of each hemisphere where it joins the central section. The toggle has a rough, darkgreen patina. Each globular head has a diameter of approximately 14mm and the central neck is 7mm in diameter.

Treasure case 2012 T378: Acquired by Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum One Iron Age pale gold stater, one silver stater and one base silver stater found in close proximity (within a 2-3m radius). The items were found in a ploughed field over several days. From the report of the finder the coins were scattered within the plough soil in a close concentration with no evidence of a container. A complete cast copper alloy lipped terret dating from the late Iron Age to the early Roman period. The terret is D shaped in plan (93.3mm wide, 72.2mm long and 31.1mm thick), the hoop has a D shaped cross section.
