A fragment of a stone probable spindle whorl, circular in shape and measuring c33mm in diameter and 8.9mm thick. The stone is mid grey in colour. The complete face is smooth and flat and the other face is missing due to an old break. The surviving sides do not seem to be tapering so it is likely that this possible spindle whorl was flat rather than conical in shape. There is a central circular perforation, 7.6mm in diameter. A complete stone spindle whorl, conical in shape with a diameter of 33.2mm and a height of 18.34mm. The stone is dense and light grey in colour. There is a circular perforation through the centre of this spindle whorl, measuring 6.9mm at the tapering end and 8.6mm at the flat face. The flat face of this spindle whorl is decorated with two concentric incised circles. This spindle whorl is perhaps most likely to be Anglo-Saxon in date, especially due to the Anglo-Saxon objects it was found in the same area as.

Fragment of a Medieval Purbeck stone mortar. The surviving part consisting of the base and part of the side. It is about 240mm in length and 84mm high. The diameter at the base would have been 226mm when complete. The base is slightly recessed at the junction with the sides, the sides flare outwards. Although incomplete, evidence remains for four equally spaced external columns. A linen smoother or polishing stone. The stone is sub-circular, 65 mm in diameter, and of a chert-like composition. It was presumably simply a glacial pebble which was the ideal size for use as a tool. One surface has been struck by the plough, which has created a lineal scar on the pebble. The opposite surface has been worn flat and is incredibly smooth, where it has been used during polishing or the smoothing of clothes.

Wedge of sandstone hone, incomplete, c.80 mm long, max thickness (at break) c.40mm. A hole has been worked in the stone at a diagonal near the broken end, one end of which is on the outer surface and the other one the broken end. It is c.12mm in diameter on the outside but narrows at the middle, and presumable carried on past the break. There are many scratch marks on the surface. It is not unusual to find incomplete or fragments of hones as they wear where they are used so much.
