A lead plumb bob of uncertain date. The weight is conical, with an iron suspension loop projecting from the top. There is some corrosion damage to the surface of the iron, and wear to the lead surface, but otherwise the object is in fair condition. Still in use today, the plumb bob has a long history with its earliest recorded use by the Egyptians in around 2600BC (Murland). There are several examples on this database with numerous dates attributed, but no distinct typology has been developed to enable accurate dating of these tools. A capacity seal made of lead and dating to the post-medieval period. The seal is a flat band of lead that would have originally been attached to the handle of a drinking vessel to mark that it was of official capacity. The seal displays a stamped crown above unclear lettering. The stamp is a kind of capacity mark, to show that the particular stoneware vessel officially held the correct volume of liquid. A post-medieval lead cloth seal from the fustians of Augsburg, sixteenth to early seventh century. The seal is circular and has an incomplete circular tab on the reverse. The obverse is decorated with an ornate letter A with annulet above and ?lis and annular below. The reverse depicts a cride pine-cone. Similar seals are recorded in Egan, 'Lead Cloth Seals and Related Items in the British Museum', p. 106.

A damaged post-medieval lead toy or miniature representation of a chalice. The object has an incomplete pedestal base with concave centre. The vessel wall was originally hexagonal but is now squashed flat. The rim is missing. Each panel is decorated with a vertical perimeter of pellets, and around the top one or two draped garlands of pellets are also visible. For a similar example see SWYOR-E3D418.

A post-medieval lead cloth seal. The object consists of two lead discs joined by a sprue were bent around a piece of cloth and stamped to seal. Traces of the stamped design remain as a letter 'P' within a circle on one disc and 'M' within a circle on the other. There also appears to be a pictorial design on the latter disc, possibly a portcullis, though this is very worn. The seal has a uniform grey patina, and is in fair condition, despite the surface wear.

An incomplete Post-Medieval firemark. This item represents the section where the arches of the crown connect to the central jewel. A two-dimensional cast lead object in the form of a curled beast. The beast is roughly oval in plan, D-shaped in cross-section and curled so that the tail is near the snout. Although the beast resembles the shape of a shrimp or prawn the body and head are much more serpent-like. A post-medieval lead cloth seal. The seal comprises a circular disc with decoration on both sides and an incomplete joining arm. The disc is decorated on one side with an unclear motif in the form of a crook or hook. The other side depicts what appears to be a small rowing boat with a star above it. Similar one sided dyers seals depicting rowing boats with stars above are known from the London waterfront; one is illustrated in Egan, 1995, 'Lead Cloth Seals and Related Items in the British Museum', British Museum Occassional Paper No. 93, p. 98, no. 290 & fig. 37.
