A medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame. The frame is single looped and ornate, with two integrally cast right angled projections on the shoulders of the outer edge and a rectangular projection in the centre, grooved for the pin. The strap bar is offset and the lateral edges are waisted in the centre and terminate in moulded triangular 'feet' at the end of the strap bar. The front of the buckle frame is rounded and the reverse is flat. The buckle frame measures 17.77 mm long, 29.8 mm wide, 2.35 mm thick and weighs 3.3 grams. It has a dark green patina.

A Roman sandstone tombstone from a cemetery site overlooking and adjacent to a Roman road from which other tombstone fragments are known probably dating to the late 2nd century AD. As regards the date of the tombstone, the three upper entries are for men of the gens Aurelia, which presumably points to enfranchisement of the family in the reign of Marcus Aurelius, perhaps at the completion of military service in an auxiliary unit. A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD), most probably later medieval (1150-1600 AD). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and lentoid in cross section. The central hole is circular and has been cast / set off centre; it has an internal diameter of 8.5mm. Part of a post-medieval cast copper alloy candle holder. It has a cylindrical socket c.30mm deep to receive a candle. The socket has three bands of decorative ribbing on the outside and tapers at the bottom to a projection c.8mm in diameter and c.6mm long which would have slotted into the rest of the holder. The object is 45mm long, 26mm in external diameter and weighs 37.19g. It is similar to other candle-holders recorded on the PAS databse, including NCL-B92ED5 and SUSS-A69AB3.

A complete cast copper alloy lock pin of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The lock pin is comprised of a tapering rectangular-sectioned shaft and a wide, circular head. From the widest end of the shaft an integrally cast spindle shaped head extends. The upper face of the head is sunken around a central boss. The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The lock pin is 24mm long, 17.9mm in diameter at the head and weighs 8.8g. A similar example is illustrated in Crummy, p.125, fig.137, no.4142, and is from a 2nd century context.
