A Roman sandstone tombstone from a cemetery site overlooking and adjacent to a Roman road from which other tombstone fragments are known probably dating to the late 2nd century AD. As regards the date of the tombstone, the three upper entries are for men of the gens Aurelia, which presumably points to enfranchisement of the family in the reign of Marcus Aurelius, perhaps at the completion of military service in an auxiliary unit. A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD), most probably later medieval (1150-1600 AD). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and lentoid in cross section. The central hole is circular and has been cast / set off centre; it has an internal diameter of 8.5mm. The upper face is slightly domed whilst the reverse is flat; both have cast designs present. A Late Medieval (c.1400-1550) cast copper-alloy integral vessel mount (handle lug) in the form of three-dimensional female head from a late medieval hanging laver (or priest's washing bowl). Part of a post-medieval cast copper alloy candle holder. It has a cylindrical socket c.30mm deep to receive a candle. The socket has three bands of decorative ribbing on the outside and tapers at the bottom to a projection c.8mm in diameter and c.6mm long which would have slotted into the rest of the holder. The object is 45mm long, 26mm in external diameter and weighs 37.19g. It is similar to other candle-holders recorded on the PAS databse, including NCL-B92ED5 and SUSS-A69AB3.

A complete cast copper alloy lock pin of Roman date. The lock pin is comprised of a tapering rectangular-sectioned shaft and a wide, circular head. From the widest end of the shaft an integrally cast spindle shaped head extends. The upper face of the head is sunken around a central boss. The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The lock pin is 24mm long, 17.9mm in diameter at the head and weighs 8.8g. A similar example is illustrated in Crummy, p.125, fig.137, no.4142, and is from a 2nd century context.

A lead token dating to the Post-Medieval period 1500 - 1850AD. The token is flat, broadly circular and double faced. Both sides of the token are decorated in raised relief. On the obverse is a rough shield with a cross and five raised pellets to the top left with possibly the remains of a further three raised pellets to the top right. A lead alloy seal, probably a cloth seal, probably dating from 1821. It consists of two circular discs of lead connected by a narrow strip that is folded so that the discs are pressed together. One disc has a hole in the centre through which is passed an integral rivet from the other disc. This is then squashed flat when the seal is stamped. An incomplete cast lead mount of post-medieval date. The mount is comprised of an undecorated central circular element with a recessed border of incised radiating lines. Roughly one third of the rim remains, with the rest having been lost to old worn breaks, and is decorated with a series of five petalled flowers interspersed with lyre loops topped by four raised pellets. The reverse is undecorated and shows no surviving means of attachment. The metal is a mid brownish-grey colour and is worn. The mount is 46.5mm long, 42.7mm wide, 4.3mm thick and weighs 36.8g.
