A Medieval ceramic vessel everted rim sherd (c. 1200-c. 1400 AD). The fabric of this coarse ware sherd is generously tempered with crushed flint. Its outer face is buff and the inner face is orange. The breaks are abraded. Height: 29.51mm; width: 52.59mm; thickness: 7.09mm, Weight: 13.11g.

An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle frame of medieval to post medieval date. The frame is formed of two conjoined ovals such that the sides incurve. The frame is bevelled both internally and externally on the upper surface; the lower surface is flat. The pin bar has a trapezoidal cross-section. The frame has corroded to a light/mid green colour and the pin is now missing. Length 23.56mm, Width 21.45mm, Thickness 2.6mm, Weight 3.44g. (cf HAMP-BCC6E5)

Cast copper alloy strap clasp length width thickness weight 19mm, weight 17mm, thickness 5.5mm, weight 2.97g. The forward edge is a rectangular plate decorated in the shape of a human facemask. This has a pointed forward edge with a notch either side of the point to mark the nose. Behind this are two holes for the eyes and a raised triangular panel with horizontal lines to mark the hair. The arms of the clasp are expanded but truncated at their base. Date 14th century.

A complete cast copper alloy furniture mount of post-medieval date. The mount is in the form of a stag's head with moulded eyes, nose and ears and antlers projecting from the top of the head. The reverse is concave, with an integrally cast central circular attachment rove. The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The mount is 48.1mm long, 46mm wide, 7.1mm thick and weighs15.7g. Similar examples have been recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as LVPL-90DF14, SWYOR-33C043 and LVPL-B43CC8.

Cast copper alloy strap fitting, possible harness suspension loop or buckle plate length 63mm, width 12mm, thickness 5mm, weight 11.02g. This is a bar which would have had a loop at the terminal, this is now missing. The bar is triangular in cross section with a globular terminal that has a rivet hole in the centre and a rectangular knop on the tip. There is a second rivet hole at the other end of the bar, both are encrusted in iron corrosion. An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy buckle pin. The pin is round in section and tapers towards the end. At the opposite end is the loop, which is where a medium sharp break is located. There are two raised ribs just before the loop, but the pin is otherwise undecorated. The condition is fair. It is covered in a green patina, but a very small amount of the original copper alloy metal does show through at the tapered end. The pin is incomplete and most likely came from an Annular brooch. A complete, cast copper alloy Roman brooch of the Dolphin type dating from 55 - 100 AD. The bow is undecorated and is separated from the small, semi-circular foot by a single transverse groove. The tubular wings are also undecorated except for a single, transverse groove at the outer end of each wing. The copper alloy pin bar and hinged pin remain in place, as does the catch plate. The brooch has a dark brown patina. It is 38mm long, 23.8mm wide and 15.7mm thick. It weighs 9.13gm. Cast copper-alloy multifoil mount dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section with an undulating edge. The central boss is undecorated and surrounded by a moulded ridge. The undulating edge of the object is decorated with raised moulded ridges. On the rear of the object are the remains of two projecting lugs for attachment. The object has a mid green patina and the remains of gilding can be seen. The object can be dated from the 16th-17th century.

A cast copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch dating from 55 - 100 AD. The bow is undecorated and tapers to a point; there is no separate foot. The wings are also undecorated. These are semicircular in section, and hollow behind to accommodate a sprung pin mechanism; both spring and pin are missing. The bar is semicircular in cross section with a globular terminal that has a rivet hole in the centre, there is a second rivet in the middle of the bar, both still contain a copper alloy rivet. At the other terminal is a rectangular loop. This artefact dates to the 14th century.
