Brockage of a copper alloy nummus of Theodosius I, 379-95. This coin is called a brockage. It results from the previous coin struck sticking to the reverse die and then providing a negative / incuse image on the next coin. Such pieces turn up from time to time. It is not possible to be certain whether this coin is a 383-8 Vota issue, or a 388-95 Victory issue.
